MilSpouse Friday Fill-In #7

So over on Wife of a Sailor (; I still don’t know how to make that blue link appear), Wife posts questions for other bloggers to answer on their own military spouse blogs. (Still with me so far?) And since I still don’t want to declutter the living room, I thought this might be fun to fill out while I’m still pretending to rest with my eyes closed.

Feel free to put on your own blogs and/or comment with your own answers. Have a great weekend!

1.It’s now July… what plans do you have for the summer?
Kids go to school year-round. Geobachelor hubby is home for two weeks. When they’re not in school, we plan to go to the pool a lot. Also having free playdates with other families.

2.What is your favorite summer memory as a kid?
We went to Disneyland a lot during the summer. Mostly I remember spending the night at my cousins’ houses and even spending a week with my aunt and uncle and their two daughters in Sacramento– who’s kids now go to the same school as ours!

3.If wild animals could be made pets without fear of them ever being dangerous, what kind of exotic animal would you want as a pet?
I don’t know. Ever since I saw National Geographic as a kid and those terrible documentaries about monkeys being raised without any affection for psychological research, I can’t justify keeping any nondomesticated animal. Maybe it’s the tree-hugger in me but I’m all for redirecting exploitation of animals and land to finding other means of income for local economies.

4.Is there anything about deployments that you do like?
It’s easy to start and maintain a routine. All decisions are made faster because your spouse is not there to consult with. That being said, those are the hardest things to change when my husband comes home. I’m sure my kids aren’t the only military kids out there who have become privvy to this transition and take advantage of it!

5.I’m starting to run out of questions again… so please give me a question you’d like to see (off-the-wall will most likely make it because we seem to have used a lot of the “traditional” ones).

Who was your favorite boy band and why? Who was your favorite member and why?
If your life was a Disney movie, which one would it be?
If your life was a TV show, which one would it be?
Be honest: which shows are you embarassed to admit you love?
Which three living authors would you like to have dinner with?
Knowing you could get an honest answer, what’s the one question you need an answer to?
Which body part would you fix on yourself? On the same note, which body part on yourself do you think everyone wants? You have to answer BOTH and don’t try and sneak more than on answer on the first question!
If you found an extra twenty bucks in your pocket, what would you do with it? A hundred bucks? A thousand buckeroos? Would you tell your spouse?
If your spouse said he’d send you on a week-long vacation to anywhere in the world but you’d have to go alone, would you go? Where would you go?
What book do you read over and over? (Besides books to your kids!)

Your turn!
